The project is expected to contribute to the large Green Flyway project where Östersund municipality together with Röros municipality aims to create a test arena for electric aircraft and drones in the municipality.

Purpose

The overall purpose of the project is to:

• strengthen the Green Flyway project with knowledge
• practically apply research results from Mid Sweden University
• develop tests and lab platforms for sensor technology and lightweight constructions that utilize the long-term potential for growth and increased durability with electric aircraft and drones

Aim

• dissemination of knowledge
• support companies in product development
• production of drone type with sensors for blackness measurement
• test of drones and electric aircraft with sensors for forest fire monitoring
• develop new test arenas and lab platform
• carry out a feasibility study to clarify what is required to increase the capacity of the wind tunnel
