School‑based methods for teaching sexuality, consent, and relationships
Which teaching methods are used in the subject area of sexuality, consent, and relationships education, what do students wish for, and do they have opportunities to influence the teaching?
Data were collected in 2025 from upper-secondary school students (Years 1–3) and Year 9 students in lower secondary school (n = 1,600). The project aims to examine which teaching methods are used in sexuality, consent, and relationships education, students’ preferences regarding teaching methods, and whether students have opportunities to influence the forms of teaching used. We welcome applications from pairs of students working together.
The specific aim will be developed collaboratively with the student(s).
Analyses will be conducted in SPSS with supervision and support from the supervisorrs.
