Bakgrund

Evangelia Petridou is associate professor in political science. She received her master in Public Administration (MPA) and her BA in Political Science (minor in Ancient Greek) from Missouri State University. Petridou defended her dissertation titled "Political Entrepreneurship in Swedish: (Re)Theorising Entrepreneurial Agency at Mid Sweden University in January 2017.

Forskningsområden

Petridou's research interests include the multiple streams framework (MSF) and specifically policy entrepreneurship, as well as resilience and networked governance especially in emergency management collaborations. Her substantive policy area interests include crisis management, especially at the local level.

Forskning

Petridou has published in journals such as Policy Studies Journal, European Policy Analysis, Journal of Contingencies and Emergency Management, Politics and Policy, European Policy Analysis, and Policy and Society and the author of numerous book chapters in international edited volumes. Her book (together with Jörgen Sparf, Nikolaos Zahariadis and Thomas Birkland) titled "Policy Entrepreneurs, Crises, and Policy Change" with Cambridge University Press is due to be published in the fall of 2023. She is involved in a number of externally funded research projects. She is the book review co-editor for the International Review of Public Policy (IRPP).

Petridou was the recipient of the Kungliga Skytteanska Samfundet – En Vetenskaplig Akademi [Royal Skytteanska Society: A Scientific Academy] Annual prize to a junior, well-deserving researcher for 2020.
