The Centre for Research on Economic Relations (CER) was established in the autumn of 2008. We conduct industry-oriented research on the economic relationships of companies and individuals within the banking, real estate, insurance, pension, and accounting/auditing sectors.
We also work to disseminate research findings to both academics and practitioners, develop and manage an industry network, and contribute to regional development. Perhaps it is our history and origins that make us something more than a traditional research centre even today.

For nine years, CER's centre director Peter Öhman has worked as a substitute in the Supervisory Board for Auditors, a position that has now been extended until 30 June 2029.

Business and economics students Sebastian Shahriarolmolki and Piyatida Paleekui have just completed their five-week internship at SCA. As third-year students in accounting and finance, they have worked in the finance function, including with harmonization of work processes and government reporting.

After the success during Mid Sweden University's anniversary week last year, the Art Hub is now taking the next step. With support from Vice-Chancellor's funds, the initiative will develop over the next year, with new exhibitions, workshops and lectures where art, creativity and science meet.

Economics students Hevin Abdullah and Lowisa Wermelin are out on their five-week internship at SBC. The students who are in year III and study the specialisation in accounting and finance, get to work with, among other things, producing annual budgets for some of SBC's tenant-owner associations.
