After several years of research, the ENSURE-6G project has come to an end. The project has developed and tested solutions for resilient connectivity, intelligent sensing and data-driven decision support for rail and logistics in northern Sweden and Finland.

Lukey Clark is researching how machine learning can help detect faults in industrial machinery before they lead to costly breakdowns. As a PhD student within IRS TransTech, he combines simulations, sensor data and AI in collaboration with Newcastle University, Mid Sweden University and SCA.

Alejandro Redondo Ayala is a PhD-student at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and is spending the autumn at Mid Sweden University. Here, he is working with Sebastian Bader’s research group to explore how energy harvested from the surrounding environment can be used to power connected sensors.

Lars Flodén, co-founder and former CEO of the technology company Observit, has been appointed honorary doctor at Mid Sweden University. Through collaborations with Mid Sweden University and STC, Flodén and Observit have contributed to strengthening the link between research and business.
