IMPHET ‑ Innovation environment for advanced Materials and Processes with Sustainable Energy Applications
IMPHET is a strategic investment in Västernorrland that aims to strengthen the research and development of advanced materials and manufacturing processes for sustainable energy applications.
The project focuses particularly on increasing the innovativeness and competitiveness of the region's small and medium-sized enterprises. By providing access to the latest research and technology in sustainable production, IMPHET creates the conditions for these companies to develop new, high-value and sustainable products.
The project's primary goal is to strengthen networks and partnerships between academia, industry and public actors within Advanced Special Manufacturing. This takes place by strengthening small and medium-sized enterprises competence and development capacity through joint competence development efforts and access to research infrastructure.
The project also aims to promote equality and diversity by actively working to attract more women and people from different backgrounds to the technology sector.
This is a collaborative project involving the municipalities of Sundsvall, Timrå, and Härnösand, in accordance with the cooperation agreement.
