Bakgrund

Jag är företagsekonom och turismvetare och har disputerat vid Handelshögskolan vid Göteborgs Universitet med avhandlingen ”E-marketing and customer perceived value in travel and tourism”. Efter min disputation har jag jobbat i många parallella forskningsprojekt med fokus på digitala lösningar för marknadsföring och management av turism och turismdestinationer, innovation och trender inom turism, samt populärkulturturism och fans. Jag jobbar också med undervisning inom turismvetenskap, vetenskaplig metod, och konsumentbeteende och marknadsföring både på grund- och avancerad nivå samt handleder studentuppsatser och doktorander. Ett viktigt och spännande uppdrag som jag har är att vara ämnesföreträdare för Turismvetenskap vilket innebär strategiskt arbete med utveckling och ansvar för kvalitet i ämnet inom grundutbildningen, masterutbildningen samt forskarutbildningen. Jag har under perioden 2013-2015 också varit forskningscenterledare för ETOUR.

Är ledamot i Humanvetenskapliga fakultetsnämnden vid Mittuniversitetet, ledamot av Tillväxtverkets referensgrupp för Statistik & Analys inom turism, samt expert i Utredningen Sveriges Besöksnäring N2016:4.
