Bakgrund

Background
Malin Holmström Rising (MHR) has worked within acute children’s nursing, child health care and school health services for over twenty-five years.
PhD in Nursing Sciences at Mid Sweden University (2013), with the thesis: The Health Dialogue concept: School children's Self-Reported-Health in a Swedish Context.

Forskningsområden

Research areas
MHR:s research focus on children and young people living with long-term conditions, complex needs and child centered care. MHR research interests include the education, information needs of children, young people and their parents (caregivers) for managing and living with for example diabetes type 1, mental health problems or intellectual disabilities. Malin is also involved in research with e-health technology and enabling children and young people´s participation and shared decisionmaking in various healthcare settings.

Forskning

Research
In recent years the focus has been on qualitative studies with methods of varying design. Previously MHR focused on quantitative empirical studies with analysis of questionnaires and processing of large statistical data materials (Health dialogues in school ). MHR has been a visiting researcher at Oslo Metropolitan University in Oslo, Norway and at Trinity University in Dublin, Ireland.

Undervisning

Teaching
MHR has experiences of teaching from several different subject areas from bacelour level to PhD, for exampel nursing theories, scientific theory and method, paediatrics and children's health and medical care 0-18 years, as well as supervision and examination.
